  • Naya Desir-Johnson has been named a nominee for the Grace Award for Movies (Actress) at the 33rd Annual Movieguide Faith & Values Awards. The nomination recognizes performances that uplift audiences through meaningful, values-driven storytelling.

    Naya received the nomination for her portrayal of Sarah Rector in Sarah’s Oil, a film that brings to life the remarkable true story of a young girl whose discovery of oil changed history.

    In her category, she is recognized alongside the following nominees:

    • Vanessa Kirby (The Fantastic Four: First Steps)
    • Rebekah Schafer (Light of the World)
    • Jana Kramer (The Christmas Ring)
    • Uma Thurman (The King of Kings)

    In addition to Naya’s individual recognition, Sarah’s Oil has also received multiple nominations at the Movieguide Awards, including Best Mature Audience Movie and the Faith & Freedom Award for Movies, recognizing the film’s powerful storytelling, historical significance, and impact on audiences.

    The 33rd Annual Movieguide Faith & Values Awards Gala will take place on February 6, 2026, at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood, California, and will later be broadcast on Great American Family and available to stream on Pure Flix.
